End of 2009 Syscom has finalized a large project, implementation of Vapour Recovery Units in 9 tank farms of Petrom-OMV, Suceava, Bacau , Piatra Neamt , Oarja, Simian, Timisoara , Satu Mare, Zalau, Deva. Two tank farms have used membrane based Borsig VRU the rest of 7 have used active carbon based Jordan VRU. Syscom has been responsible for engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning. Construction and piping were done through other construction companies. For all tank farms, evaluation tests were done with local environmental authorities and test reports were printed according Romanian laws. With this project, Syscom become by far the most experienced Romanian companies in VRU systems, 17 similar project been finalized in Romania in the last 4 years.
