15-Jan-10 Sterilization Units for Medical Waste Materials
In 2009, SYSCOM and ITM AMIRO have manufactured and commissioned 27 pcs Sterilization Units for Medical Waste Materials which were delivered in 27 hospitals from Romania . The installation is used for sterilization and destroying medical waste materials in order to minimize the risks of contamination for the operators and the environment. SYSCOM has designed and delivered a complex automation system which allows the monitoring and control of the sterilization unit, transmitters, sensors, pneumatic valves and control system. The process control cabinet is based on a compact UNITRONICS PLC, V570 series. A special software interface (HMI) provides to the operator a real time monitoring and process control. The sterilization parameters are stored in the PLCs memory and at the end of the process the report is printed. SYSCOM also implemented the pneumatic automation system to control the installation.
